REACH<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) is a regulation of the European Union that came into force on June 1, 2007.\nThis regulation has been adopted to improve the protection of human health and the environment from chemical risks. It also promotes alternative methods of hazard assessment of substances for the purpose of reducing animal testing.\nIn accordance with REACH, certain obligations must be satisfied by any actor in the supply chain.\nAn emerging global trend these past few years in many countries not part of the EU (and, thus, not directly governed by REACH) has been their voluntarily adopting certain elements of REACH into their national compliance guidelines.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
